Founded in the heart of New Zealand, LunarivoryWorks emerged from a deep fascination with the interplay of moonlight and natural forms. Our studio is a sanctuary for quiet design, where the rugged beauty of coastal stone meets the refined elegance of porcelain.

Every piece we create is a response to the New Zealand landscape—the shifting sands of the South Island, the translucent mist of the Southern Alps, and the organic erosion of volcanic rock. We believe in objects that breathe, carrying the traces of the hands that shaped them into the homes they will eventually inhabit.

Every object begins as a pencil sketch or a quick clay maquette, capturing the initial inspiration from shadows or landscape silhouettes.

We source high-grade porcelain and stoneware, selecting clays that offer the specific translucent or textured qualities required for the piece.

Using traditional techniques like coiling, slab-building, or custom molds, we patiently build the form, allowing the material to dictate its natural flow.

Pieces are slow-dried to prevent stress before undergoing multiple firings in our kiln, reaching temperatures that transform clay into stone.
